March 16, 2020: Notice to all patients regarding Covid19

I understand that there is a lot of anxiety and confusion about the current Covid19 epidemic. My staff and I are following CDC guidelines and intend to do our best to continue seeing patients. However, in order to do so safely we will need everyone’s help.

Please refer to the latest information and guidance from the Centers of Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

The fundamentals of containing a viral outbreak remain to isolate wherever possible as well as keeping contact to a minimum.  In keeping with this principle, everyone MUST do the following:

  1. Please let us know if you have a fever or upper respiratory symptoms (stuffy nose, sore throat or cough) before coming to your visit.  I will then decide the best course of action.

  2. We request that patients DO NOT bring family members to their visits – exceptions are if the patient requires assistance with mobility.  Family members can stay in their cars while they wait.

  3. We need to keep the waiting room clear.  This includes patients and family members.

  4. We ask that everyone wash their hands rigorously and often.  If you have not washed your hands for an hour prior to your visit, please go to the washroom to do so before coming into the exam room.

  5. All visits will be timely and precise – our efforts will be to process each visit rapidly, so we will ONLY concentrate on the patient’s problems.  This will help us to keep on schedule, thereby keep the waiting room clear.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in overcoming this crisis, which we all hope is short lived.

Sincerely,

JOHN DOMBROWSKI, M.D.
